2019 Summer Intern Position – Social Media and Events Coordinator
- Job Dates: June 24, 2019 to August 16, 2019; 32 hours per week for 8 weeks; $14/hour
- Job Location: 115A Matheson Blvd. W., Unit 214, Mississauga, Ontario, L5R 3L1
- Responsibilities:
- Coordinate various team members commitments to submit content for Mercy Mission and FosterLink communications
- Create and disseminate email newsletters for Mercy Mission and FosterLink news and events
- Create and promote content on social media such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
- Write creative website content
- Reach out to mosques to organize foster care outreach events
- Qualifications:
- Passionate and enthusiastic about communication and community engagement
- Have excellent written communication skills
- Excellent understanding of social media engagement
- Good understanding of web-based newsletter tools (ex: MailChimp)
- Good relationship-building skills
- Good understanding of the Greater Toronto Muslim community and organizations
- Education:
- Diploma or degree in communication or marketing-related field preferable
